Security Agent PositionL4 Security and Consulting Group LLC is announcing the availability of positions for a qualified Security Agent in the Lexington, KY area. L4 is a private security agency that sets a high standard for its work and employees and is owned and operated by former Kentucky law enforcement officers. L4 protects some of the most valuable and important assets in our areas of operation and requires disciplined and trustworthy agents. Desirable applicants will have experience in law enforcement, corrections, fire and rescue service, emergency medical services, or military service (multiple MOS' applicable). L4 also considers private security professionals with outstanding records of proven service in the sector. Applicants must pass a thorough background investigation and drug screening before employment as well as agree to submit to random drug screenings throughout their employment. L4 presents employees with a career opportunity including annual and advanced training opportunities and professional advancement. Compensation varies by contract, increases with time and successful service and company healthcare plans are available.A Security Guard comprises the base element of security services. General duties and responsibilities including providing security services to a variety of clients. These duty posts include Federal government, manufacturing and distribution facilities, schools and colleges, religious institutions, retail sites, and any other fixed or temporary location as needed or required.Initial Compensation $18-$19 / hr. (dependent on contract / post / experience)Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesProtect property and livesMonitor entrance/egress of propertyIdentify visitors and ask for appropriate documentation.Guard against theft and maintain securityRespond to alarms and calls of distressComplete accurate daily & incident reports by recording observations, information occurrences and surveillance activitiesPrevent passage of prohibited vehicles into restricted areasPrevent access to unauthorized personsInspect and adjust security systems, equipment, and machinery to ensure operational useRegulate and monitor building systemsInspect windows and doors to ensure locks are in place and workingComplete all required security logsCommunicate effectively with client management, employees, and visitorsQualificationsMust have a High School diploma or GEDMust be at least 21 years of age and legally possess a firearm.Can operate a firearm, pass firearms qualification courses and can receive appropriate licensures,Maintain professionalism and ability to wear a uniform neatly and correctlyAbility to provide excellent customer service verbally and in writing.Must have the ability be alert and appropriately deal with escalated and crisis/emergency situations.Ability to multi-taskAbility to operate a computer and other security devices.Depending on the client and state, must be able to obtain required training and licensures.Physical Demands (Expectations include, but not limited to, one or more of the following essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation)EOE/M/F/VET/Disabilities EmployerVEVRAA Federal Contractor * Priority referrals for protected veterans*We participate in the E-Verify Employment Verification Program
